Tel Hai Academic College mourns the passing of our beloved Managing Director, Eitan Gdalizon z"l

Eitan Gdalizon, Managing Director of Tel Hai Academic College, passed away on February 11, 2009.  Eitan was fatally wounded two weeks ago in an Ultra-Light plane crash while pursuing his favorite hobby as an amateur pilot.

It is hard to describe in words the depth of our loss here at Tel Hai Academic College. In addition to the pleasure all of us experienced working with him, Eitan's contribution to the remarkable growth of the College in the past six years is immense: he more than anyone else was responsible for the doubling of the student body, the building of new dormitories, and above all, the construction of the new campus, part of the Triangle Development Plan that he was instrumental in conceiving.

Eitan was 56 at his death. In addition to his great love of flying, he also enjoyed traveling in Israel and around the world with his wife Ruthie and their three children Keren, Shahar and Dor.

The entire Tel Hai Academic College community deeply mourns Eitan Gdalizon's passing. His spirit, humanity and love for the Galilee will continue to inspire us.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the cemetery of Kibbutz Kfar Hanassi.
